Haven of Hope Introducing Our Newest Initiative: A Safe Haven for Survivors of Child Trafficking (Coming Soon) Get Involved Shepherd’s Arms is in the early stages of developing a dedicated refuge for survivors of child trafficking in the Philippines—a critical need in this region. Currently finalizing site plans and securing government approvals, this holistic rehabilitation centre will provide: Safe Housing Our residential facility will be designed as more than just shelter – it will be a true sanctuary. Located on secured grounds with 24/7 protective oversight, it will have therapeutic living spaces and home like touches. Specialized trauma care We're partnering with licensed professionals to deliver trauma therapy, medical care and neurodevelopmental support. Education and life skills Each child will have access to a good education, with personalised academic plans, practical life skills, and opportunities for career progression. Spiritual and emotional restoration Our Christ centred approach will include trauma informed discipleship, faith based expressive therapies and community reintegration in healthy social environments. Why This Matters In the Philippines, an estimated 60,000-100,000 children are trafficked annually (ICAT 2023). Less than 15% of rehabilitation centres offer this level of specialised, long-term care. Our model addresses the whole person - where most programs focus only on immediate rescue

Volunteer Board of Trustees Our board is made up of passionate, faith filled volunteers who generously give their time, expertise, and leadership to guide the direction of the foundation. In following the call of God on their lives, each trustee brings valuable experience from a variety of sectors—such as education, community development, business, and pastoral care—ensuring that the organisation is governed with wisdom, integrity, and accountability. Our Managing Trustee plays a vital hands-on role in overseeing the overall strategy and supporting both the board and the operational team. Teach a man to fish, and he will eat Aquaponics Garden 1 Hydroponics Aquaponics 1/11 Aquaponic System Our aquaponic system is a closed-loop, eco-friendly farming method that combines aquaculture (raising fish) with hydroponics (growing plants in water without soil). The fish waste provides nutrients for the plants, and in return, the plants help purify the water for the fish—creating a symbiotic environment. The leafy greens and herbs grown through this system are used in the children’s home kitchen, providing fresh, nutritious food, and are also sold to local restaurants and markets, creating an income stream that supports the home. Biogas System Our biogas system is a sustainable way to convert organic waste—primarily animal manure from our pigs—into clean, renewable energy. This process produces methane gas that we use for cooking in the children’s home. It's an environmentally-friendly solution that reduces reliance on traditional fuels, cuts down on waste, and provides a practical learning opportunity for the children. Solar Power Installation We’ve installed solar panels on the children’s home to harness the power of the sun—an abundant and clean energy source. This reduces our dependence on the local power grid, lowers electricity costs, and ensures a more stable power supply. It also teaches the children about renewable energy and environmental stewardship, which is crucial in today’s world. Mini Farm The mini farm at the children’s home plays an essential part in the children's lives. It includes a thriving vegetable garden and a variety of small animals, such as chickens, goats, and pigs. This setup not only supplies food for the home but also teaches the children valuable agricultural and animal care skills. Tending the farm fosters responsibility, teamwork, and a strong connection to nature. Bakery Project Our small-scale bakery is a hub of creativity and delicious smells! We produce fresh bread, pastries, and pizzas that are sold in the local community. This not only generates income for the home, but also serves as a learning platform where children and young adults can gain baking and business skills that could open doors for future employment or entrepreneurship. Empowering the Next Generation What makes these projects truly special is the way the children are actively involved in them. They learn practical skills in agriculture, renewable energy, entrepreneurship, and teamwork—skills that will serve them for a lifetime.
