Shepherd’s Arms is in the early stages of developing a dedicated refuge for survivors of child trafficking in the Philippines—a critical need in this region. Currently finalizing site plans and securing government approvals, this holistic rehabilitation centre will provide:
Safe Housing
Our residential facility will be designed as more than just shelter – it will be a true sanctuary. Located on secured grounds with 24/7 protective oversight, it will have therapeutic living spaces and home like touches.
Specialized trauma care
We're partnering with licensed professionals to deliver trauma therapy, medical care and neurodevelopmental support.
Education and life skills
Each child will have access to a good education, with personalised academic plans, practical life skills, and opportunities for career progression.
Spiritual and emotional restoration
Our Christ centred approach will include trauma informed discipleship, faith based expressive therapies and community reintegration in healthy social environments.
Why This Matters
In the Philippines, an estimated 60,000-100,000 children are trafficked annually (ICAT 2023). Less than 15% of rehabilitation centres offer this level of specialised, long-term care. Our model addresses the whole person - where most programs focus only on immediate rescue
